Sandra is originally from Puerto Rico. She attended the University of Miami for her B.B.A degree, Boston College Law School for her J.D., and New York University School of Law for her LL.M. in Taxation.
She has extensive experience working with cases involving estate and gift tax, international tax, corporate tax, partnership tax, trusts and estates, and tax-exempt organizations.
As a prior Senior Tax Attorney at the Office of Chief Counsel’s Large and Advisory Unit she also gained experience in Tax Court litigation and in matters involving collection due process cases, syndicated conservation easements, self-employment contributions tax, micro captive insurance, alternative fuel excise tax credits, and federal tax liens.
She was a prior Chief Administrative Law Judge at the NYC Tax Appeals Tribunal, where she managed all litigation aspects of NYC hotel, banking, unincorporated business, corporate, real property transfer, and commercial rent tax cases.
